●Aphex Twinの「Nanou 2」という曲とは奇妙な出会い方をしていて(厳密には出会いではなく、再会であり、再-出会いなのだが)、その事情は2018年5月5日のこの日記に書いた(この日が、再-出会いの日だ)。

で、この日以降も、というか、この日以来ますます、この曲が頭のなかで響くことが多くある。頭のなかで完璧に再現できているというわけではないが、この曲っぽい響きというか、この曲の響きの「印象」のようなものが、頭のなかに突然ふわっと現われるということが、割とある。
かといって、Aphex Twinのファンになるわけでも、「Drukqs」という、この曲が収録されたアルバムの他の曲を聴き込んだりすることもなく(というか、このアルバムを通して聴いたことすらない)、ただ「この曲」にのみ執着があるようだ。
「Nanou 2」という曲は、Aphex Twinのなかで特に有名曲というわけでもないようだが(Aphex Twinについて詳しくないのでそこもよく分かっていないが)、この曲を、ハープを用いて演奏している動画をたまたま見つけたので、このような日記を書いた。2001年に発表された曲だが、ハープ演奏の動画は、今年投稿されたものだった(Tamara Youngさんには下の動画以外にもAphex Twinのカヴァー動画がある)。

《Been overwhelmed by the response I have been getting from my little videos and have been wanting to cover this for a while and had a few request so gave it a go. I tried to do the best version I could suitable for the harp . Main issues were with all the bass notes rattling and also cutting through, this piece really uses opposite ends of the spectrum! and trying to keep the resonance without making massive noises dampening.... no sustain pedal built on the harp unfortunately ! I hope the beautiful simplicity of this piece still comes through though :)》
